CME/CPD organizations must evolve to better engage the next generation of physicians. Younger physicians have increasingly utilized technology and have different expectations for how, when, and where they leverage it for learning. Understanding their preferences is essential for creating relevant, high-impact education. This live session will present key findings from a national survey conducted on the learning preferences of younger physicians. Faculty members will share data-driven insights aimed at guiding educational strategy and innovation. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of what younger learners seek in continuing medical education and how this knowledge can be leveraged to shape future educational portfolios, boost engagement, and ensure long-term retention.
CME/CPD organizations face increasing pressure to demonstrate value to their learners. Tailoring educational offerings to younger professionals helps build long-term loyalty and active participation. Data from the national survey can inform decisions about where to invest (or divest) in educational formats, delivery methods, topics, and credit - ensuring educational offerings remain competitive and financially sustainable. By understanding generational differences in learning preferences, educators can create environments that support collaboration across experience levels, enhancing outcomes for all.
Colleagues who attend this session will be better positioned to anticipate shifts in learner behavior and proactively evolve their strategies—rather than reacting after the fact. Join us to explore actionable takeaways and collaborative discussion on aligning educational offerings with the needs of emerging physicians.
