Annette’s 20+ years in continuing medical education/continuing professional development spans a variety of roles as both a provider and a supporter. In her current role as Associate Director, Medical Grants & Sponsorships at Takeda, she partners with medical units to develop and implement the strategy for independent medical education, sponsorships and other grant funding. She oversees the processing of funding applications for the therapeutic area and is a key member of Grant Review Committees. Annette’s provider experience encompasses program management; accreditation; compliance; grant proposal development; educational design; and outcomes design, analysis and reporting.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master of Science degree in Adult Education and is a Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP™). Annette is a Fellow of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEhp), currently serving as co-chair of the AIS Planning Committee. She is also a member of the Medical Affairs Professional Society. In previous healthcare employment adventures, she has provided direct patient care as a hospital/hospice chaplain and served as an administrative coordinator for a home care agency.
Through the challenges and changes in the CME/CPD environment, Annette is continually encouraged to have the opportunity—along with colleagues across the industry—to positively impact health professionals and the people depending on them for care.
