In the last few years, we have had several use cases of leveraging Generative AI in various CPD workflows. However, an area that seems to be less frequently discussed is web development. Many CPD providers often lack access to dedicated web development resources on a day-to-day basis. This session is especially useful for CPD providers with limited access to development resources but are constantly faced with demands to improve user experience.
Generative AI tools can act as a useful “part time developer” resource that can assist CPD providers with simple but important tasks. Our poster session will share several case studies of using Generative AI tools for web development and discuss best practices and key considerations when answering the following questions:
User experience:
Is my website following important usability practices and guidelines?
Can Generative AI help me perform a basic site review and recommend changes to be made?
Simple website enhancements:
Using Gen AI tools, what simple HTML and CSS hacks can I use “now” to improve the look and feel of my website?
Web design
Can AI tools help me add responsive web design for mobile display adaptability?
What capabilities does AI have to help me design an HTML and CSS framework for organizing my web content?
Best Practices
What scenarios are best suited to leverage Generative AI tools and their strengths and weaknesses?
What common pitfalls should I look for when integrating prompt responses into my workflow?
The poster does not assume any background in programming or coding experience. Rather, it aims to shed light on how non-coders can leverage Generative AI for improving user experience and learner satisfaction.
Key Takeaways:
All attendees will receive copies of the caselets, sample prompt outputs, links to Gen AI thought leadership resources, additional resources on using Gen AI for web development.
