This session has 2 purposes: 1) build confidence in community members who do not currently do presentations and 2) improve skills for those who do presentations by providing practical tips and tricks for effective presentation preparation and delivery. Our big picture goal is to encourage the diversity of voices in our community and increase impact of presented content by building confidence in members of our community to present their work and ideas in their organizations and publicly at meetings/events. This session will provide a lived experience from one presenter and practical tips and tools from a presentation coach. Attendees will have a brief opportunity to reflect on how they might apply some of these tips and tools to their own presentation practices. This session offers professionals who have something important to offer the CPD community via public speaking and presentation an opportunity to feel inspired to engage in self-reflection and skill building to ultimately be confident to share their professional work or experiences with others.
