In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare education landscape, CPD professionals are increasingly expected to navigate and lead through organizational change. Whether it's adapting to new accreditation requirements, shifting to hybrid learning models, or aligning with interprofessional goals, the ability to manage change is essential to maintaining relevance and impact. Shift Happens: Organizational Change and CPD is an engaging and practical session that explores the core concepts of organizational change through the lens of continuing education in the health professions. Participants will be introduced to foundational principles of organizational change, with a focus on simple, actionable frameworks that support forward movement, communication, and engagement during periods of transition.
This session will provide practical strategies for assessing readiness, overcoming resistance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and adaptability. Through peer discussion, case examples, and interactive planning tools, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the human and organizational dynamics that drive successful change. Attendees will walk away with a customizable change-planning worksheet, a curated resource list for further exploration, and real-world examples that offer both inspiration and guidance.
By reframing organizational change as an opportunity rather than a disruption, this session invites participants to broaden their perspectives and see themselves as catalysts for meaningful transformation, regardless of title or tenure. Participants will be encouraged to think creatively, act strategically, and return to their roles with renewed confidence and purpose to champion change within their organizations and across the CPD community.
